About Sozo

What is this?

Sozo is a fan-run reader for Re: Zero - Starting Life in Another World, a Japanese web novel by Tappei Nagatsuki. New chapters are translated using AI and posted within roughly two days of the author releasing them — no paywalls, no waiting.

How does the translation work?

Each chapter is run through an AI translation pipeline and then lightly reviewed before publishing. The goal is speed and readability — getting the story to English readers as close to the source release date as possible. These are not perfect translations, and some nuance will always be lost.

When an official human translation of a chapter becomes available, we link out to it and retire our version out of respect for the translators’ work.
